Residents' Parking Zones - UPDATE

The results of the consultation on Residents' Parking Zones (RPZs) still hasn't emerged. We were originally told it would be early October, but I am now being told that it isn't ready and that there is no date for release. I am interpretting this as meaning that it is still some months away.

In the meantime, there is an initial discussion paper on the agenda for the next meeting of the Sustainable Development & Transport Scrutiny Commission, which meets on Thursday 23rd October. I will be putting in a statement with my thoughts (which I will post here in due course), as well as stressing AGAIN the flaws in the consultation process itself.

The feedback from our last Focus newsletter suggested to me that some people had misunderstood my position on RPZs. To clarify: I am against the plans as they stand, but I am supportive of those communities within Cotham who do want some form of RPZ (which doesn't look like the current plans) and will help them to find a solution which suits their needs.
